Republicans sold out to the Bible thumpers a long time ago. It won them a couple of elections but at the end of the day it is part of the reason they are in such disarray. They have to take a long look in the mirror. They desperately need a "rebrand". Trotting out two uppity white guys with no charisma is exactly what the country is going away from.
Eggzactly. That's why the republicans are going to bust a Colin Powell/Karl Malone ticket on that ass.

The best compliment he can get from the conservatives on here is silence.

I think Republicans had better get used to the idea of 8 years of Obama. All indications from economists on both sides of the political spectrum are we will be emerging from the recession in the 4th quarter of 2009 or 1st quarter of 2010. With the general lag of unemployment related to the end of a recession things should start blossoming again just in time for 2012. Any rising Republican star at that point would be far better served to wait until 2016 since Obama will get credit for taking us out of the recession whether or not his policies had anything to do with it and will almost certainly win re-election.

if we listen to them we will be busto , no one can tell where we will be 1yr from now , let alone 2 or 3 , these are all subjective opinions with imperfect imputs

knowing what we know now , don't you think hillary should have run in '04 ?
i mean a stiff almost won , she has shown to be better than him and GW was beatable in '04 , bubba and hill overthought and got bit by the rising star from chicago ....... whether or not the star is still shining in 3 yrs is anyone's guess

Especially after Muslims gave him the standing O, and terrorists spouted hate against him.

I'm counting on a few moans over Obama quoting the Quran, and at least one "I still think he's secretly a Muslim terrorist" thing again ....

should have gone to public schools I guess cause we we're taught the Romans had spires and arches and Guttenburg invented the pen? Of course I guess it could have been Muhamad Guttenburg but I'm not sure anymore?

if you want to call it a pen. What did prehistoric man use to paint caves? Their tounges? Prehistoric paintings also predate the founding of Islam by only approximately 30,000 years. The Roman empire also predates Islam and I'm pretty sure they had arches, spirals and columns.
