I agree on the congrats to Emigh... but why that race?!

When they hit the final turn, I thought KnS was in perfect shape and even better shape coming off the turn.

Hope everything's ok after the race.

Hope all's okay with KNS, and that the Dee Tee contingent had a great time.

Edit: And geesh, I just rewatched it - she tries hard every time, doesn't she? Just got a tad tired right at the end. What a good girl! Hope back at the barn, she gets her peppermints (if she's still Dee Tee's)

I don't know that much about this horse, but I don't think you're gunna have much luck having her that close to a pace like that. She can be that close to the front, but not if the pace is like that. Best thing is to get her covered up behind horses following a relatively slow pace, and let her gather them in. Going one turn, there's probably gunna be someone that lays just off the pace, and gunna be too hard for her to run down late. I don't have her past performances, but she seems better going slower early. Hope she comes out of it fine.

Scuds.. You have it 100% right. That was shockingly quick for that group making the half in :46.3 and she was a little too close. But what's happened with her is that she has been breaking sharp of late, and she isn't really a horse to wrangle back too much. Chuck called me later in the evening, but I missed his call. We'll hear how she came out this morning.

A great crowd of about 20 on hand, dominating the paddock, and I hope everybody enjoyed the day! She'll be back in about 4 weeks to try again, likely back to a mile or 8.5f..

It was a great time despite the results, both in the 4rth and nightcap. We didn't go to the barn but immediately following the race Chuck was cursing Tanner Riggs (on the 7) for forcing her wide from the 3 path out to Rolling Meadows. Bob's got 2 more in today so let's hope for a split.
