So, in summation, you lost the battle only to skip the war?

Sorry to hear that your good deed didnt turn out as planned. I agree with Cape May, I'd rather watch grass grow. The only thing cool about that neck of the woods is the cement ship and the lighthouse/WWII turret thingys. Look at it this way, your next shore experience can only be better.

Next time your in the area and hungry, look no further than Somers Point.

Been over 5 years since I have been married, I gotta get that whole "lose the battle to win the war" thing ingrained back into my thick skull.

Best part of that area is Springers Homemade Ice Cream in Stone Harbor. & the beach is fun also. You dont have to worry about sharks as much as the FL beach.

Found one down here called Cocoa Beach... south of Daytona, where you can bring beer on the beach as long as its in cans. Pretty freaking awesome I've never seen a beach that alcohol is allowed.

Me, my cousin and her college friends (smoking hot in bikini's) and 4 Marine's drank about 3 cases... played football and jumped the waves for an hour (water was cold it was the end of February... but you get numb after awhile and the alcohol helped).

"But my wife always comes up with bright ideas and I usually shoot them down automatically. You know because they are usually F'n stupid."

two questions.

one, how would you feel if your wife read that?

two, what would you say if she had written that about you?

these are rhetorical questions by the way. just some food for thought.

Yes it was the parkway, but we made record time going down. I think since it was Sunday, everyone was already where they had to be. But, it was her idea and I was just along for the ride. The free part had no standing on whether we would go or not, we were figuring it was not going to be a cheap day anyway. As far as the boys go (and the wife on most days), I will never ditch them to go somewhere else. Also I don't plan on going to WW anytime in the near future, but thanks for the look.

Dani, I was venting. Was it a bit harsh and exaggerated sure, but she has had some real doozies. Would I tell her that some of her ideas were F'n stupid? Of course not (Come to think of it I might have told her the Times Square one was). And believe me she knows how I feel about some of those past ideas she has had. But that's why we get along so great, because we communicate to each other so well. We will be married 9 years this November and I know how lucky I am. Honestly I would be more worried about her reading the Thanksgiving thread than this one.
As far as me finding something she posted about me, I don't think it would bother me. It's a message board, what's the big deal? It's not like I went around to all our family and friends saying things like that. Plus I'm sure she thinks that I have had my share of pretty S.hitty ideas and I probably have.

Just came home from Smitty's myself, with some extra clam chowder for throughout the day. DOing alittle R&R with the fam, then headed to AC again with my brother Danny. The bad beat still hasnt been hit and is gaining about $2k a day on average per the poker room director. Time to put in some serious work, again, once the sun sets. Turned $350 into $840 at the 2-5 n/l table, but still no coup de gras. Then, like the idiot that I am, went to the BOrgata to lose about 2 and a half at the pai gow tables and the B bar. Having a blast though, and thats all that counts. GL today everybody!!!!!

Charlie's boneless chicken is the $hiot, btw.
