Moor Spirit, at Kelso.

He was 12 years old and this was his 38th start...

He'd been pulled up quite a few times in his career including in his last race, exactly one month ago.

Rest in peace.

R.I.P. all. I hope when they redo the Secretariat statue there is a mention of the "lesser" horses attached to it.

i just saw it on the paulick report. that's too bad. i knew it didn't look too good when it happened, but i was hoping it would turn out well for her.
