Imo the problem really revolves around the lack
of a signficant black middle class. We can discuss the why forever. But until a black middle class arises with significant buying power, you will still see blacks (especially in the South in these times) heading straight for that Walmart. Its affordable. Mom and Pop stores do best in areas where people can afford to shop them, or its most convenient. a few businesses that otherwise wouldn't may benefit for a short period from this sort of nonsense but in the long run, rational behavior prevails. -God has spoken |
