good businesses have so much to fear from affinity shopping campaigns.
just ask toyota about the destruction wrought when their competitors replaced good design and solid workmanship with "buy american" ads in the 70's. a few businesses that otherwise wouldn't may benefit for a short period from this sort of nonsense but in the long run, rational behavior prevails.
