They just need to start using Xavier Paul in LF instead of old Juan....even though I know he is off to a pretty good start at the plate.
His OBP is poor, and his arm is ridiculous. He must need to hit a cutoff man when he plays fetch with his dog.

Came up in a big spot last night, and rolled to 1st(like the skinny black woman choke he has always been for us.) Don't care if the stick figure gets here at 10 in the morning. A choke is a choke. O DOG is a black man. Juana be a black woman. Far as I'm concerned, O DOG should fk her until we atleast have an angry woman at the plate.

That's not something I see as justifying an admission fee. We(myself and the people in charge of the track) have a legit disagreement about that. They have a free day each week, but the cards have been crap(or it's too f'n hot.) It's a place, but I don't consider it much of a destination.

I didn't really understand any of this, but if this is SCUDS for "Juan Pierre sucks," then I agree.

C'mon Gales. They lost last night cause the bullpen gave up 10 runs in the last 3 innings. They ended up blowing the 6 run cushion they had after the first. That loss had nothing to do with Manny.
But, I'm looking foward to the daily Mannyless Dodger posts.

By the way where's your Tex is a bust post today, I think he was 0 for 5 last night?

I just wish the whole country could put your boy Favre on iggy.
If I ever hear another story about that overrated chump, it will be too soon.

I figured that was coming back at me..

Oh no doubt - if the run production stays were it was last night - they'll go 33-7 w/o manny

i think even if they konk out here and go 20-30 , they may very will be still in 1st place -

as for TEX - he got the big hit the other night to tie the game in the 8th during the downpour

i watched the game last night , there is no needfor me to post about him being a bust -- he is now getting booed after every strike out and dp he grounds into --- the best thing that can happen is happening - the yanks are going on the road tonight , i would expect that when he breaks out he will break out on the road , that's my guess anyway

My guess is that might see a few better pitches starting tonight. He will have a little more protection in the lineup.

well matsui isn't exactly a bum , i don't think that has as much to do with it as everybody thinks

i think he will hit better in time because he stops pressing at the plate , if you want to corelate that to a-rod's return so be it

as cannon says there are others issues with this team - and i agree with him on that , the 1st is the manger does not have the make up to make it in NY IMO (i'm not talking about the injuires) .... he just looks paranoid to me

the pitching is a concern as well

i have been wrong about coaches in NY in the past - i never thought Tom Coughlin could take any team let alone a NY team to the promised land - in time he proved me wrong , i will hope Girardi proves me wrong too

Coughlin changed his whole personna and became more of a players coach instead of being a constant prick.
Im not a big Girardi guy either, but really what kind of managing should he have to do with that team.
Pitching is the #1 issue. The entire staff has been very eratic (maybe with the exception of Burnett). And the bullpen has been downright horrendous at times. If they could get that straight, they should be alright.

it's not per se anything he did wrong or does wrong , i just don't get a feel he will bring a winner to ny , like i said i was wrong about TC

he was 30 minutes away in buffalo from not coming back , everything went right for him in that spot and after that game , but , if they had lost up there the giants would have had a new coach

will see how joe does it will play out one way or the other

Get Sabathia dealing, and the others will get brave. Don't know about the closer though. That was ugly. Could be a third more follicly challenged by game time tonite.

I'll be honest. This is a bad group of middle relievers that Torre has been doing his best to deal with. Reminds me of a guy trying to get a a half-dead Rooster to fight longer than the other dieing bird. The only exception is Belasario. He has talent, but is not seasoned enough to be totally reliable. Most of the others are just ****. In the post, they gunna get tee'd up big time. Manny was a psychological advantage for these guys. Like a security blanket. When you take him away, and add in a pinching plate umpire, then you see what you saw last night. When you've got a very average reliever(Wade) getting pinched out of a 2nd out of an inning, it can lead to a lot of bad stuff. Funny thing was he pinched Beimel really badly ( on a what should of been an inning-ending strike out to get the Nationals off the hook (in the bottom 8th.) Then, Juana cam up, and missy lay down like the woman she be. There's a reason there were 20 runs scored. That umpire is a fkn fool. I swear that (what should of been 3rd strike) to Loretta was like barely as high as his lower ribs. That can't be called hi.
