Seriously, I very much enjoyed. Yesterday I went to see a friend north of the Bay Area who is caring for a 27 year old recently rescued mare, and a 31 year old gelding thoroughbred. The thoroughbred has met the track in competition, but the historical details are sketchy.

A couple years ago I had a leg up on a 22 year old mare on an open run at a public riding stable near the Daytona Speedway. When lightning unexpectedly struck nearby, I realized how much energy a 22 year old mare can easily generate.

When inspired.

I learned what to do when a mare rears.

Hang on!

And then, enjoy the run.....
