If all 3 of the hitting brothas on the A's stay healthy(big if,) then the Yanks will go down to defeat against them. The suggestion would be to get into a fender bender with Bradley, and then have some white trash act as a random witness(saying Bradley caused it.) That would get interesting.

Yeah, as a Twins fan, it looks like all 3 teams are gonna stagger, stumble, crawl, limp into the playoffs... whichever 2 of the 3 are left standing. I still think that the Bo-Sox have played themselves out of it, and the Angels are too far back to challenge for a wildcard berth.
There's a chance soon that Liriano is gonna go on a rehab assignment. Since the Twins AAA affiliate has made the playoffs, that's where it will be... if he's deemed healthy enough. He's so so so needed, because with Radke pretty much done for the season, Silva is a wreck, and Bonser, Garza and Baker are too inconsistent. So Liriano is a necessity!!!! Santana can only pitch once in every 5 days. Even Minnesota fans seem to be waiting for the stretch where the finally falter, but it's been fun to watch the "little piranhas" while it's lasted. But I'd have to agree... The A's and Yankees are playing the best and should beat any A.L. Central Rep. right now. But! The A's get hot every year leading into the playoffs, and have only made the A.L.C.S. what? Once in the last 5 or 6 years? It's like the Giants... hot in September, cold in October. |
