I think so. I won't be surprised to hear Chuck say she came back blowing pretty hard. She pretty much stopped on the runout.

The two longshots were the two to pass her.

Early preview of the Chuck Report... Indeed, a tired mare at race's end. Rosario had no choice except to go on early when she broke so sharply. He knew she was starting to tire approaching the three eighths but he hoped she'd have enough left to carry to the wire. She actually dug in when the winner confronted her and kept trying to the finish. She of course had no chance to answer the wide runner-up.

Even with the slow looking splits, she did all the heavy lifting here, burying the other two speeds in the race, who vied with her for favoritism. KNS isn't a horse you can tighten the screws on, so Chuck was hoping her back bottom would be enough to top this kind of group, and it nearly was.

On the plus side, she looked as good as she ever has physically, and her more robust posture hopefully will allow for a quicker than normal (for her) run back. More from Chuck when he returns from the Lexington area. Thanks to Cherie and the team for the work put in today, those that made the trip to Florence, and those that watched and rooted on the quirky but loveable mare...

She was unquestionably the best horse in the race as the other two who went did drop back and she was 3 wide, unfortunately, the top two finishers got the trip that she likes. On the pace does not seem to work well for her. I wish she could have stayed on for second as I used her heavily with the 6 who, IMO, was the horse to beat and at 14-1 the exacta would have been very nice.

Just watched the race on calracing.com, was hoping she held 2nd (always "backwheel" DT horses) but at least she was a factor and hopefully will return quickly.
