Sleep came quickly after the long day yesterday. Very little luck at the windows thus far for the two days (my dog betting days are done!!) The late Oaklawn double and the exacta in the finale at the Big M last night didn't quite return the losses for the day, but made them slightly more tolerable. Told Bigs and RBE last night that I will be on my game today.

Just now starting to feel human again... loooong day yesterday as Kev alluded to - not many return trips to the windows to cash, and the dogs... My first real visit to actually watch and play the greyhounds and honestly I can't see how anyone can make rhyme or reason out of that mess. Although Derby Lane is a beautiful place - the new poker room is enormous and top notch, and the buffet is to die for but, betting on which one or two of eight dogs will emerge out of a literal pack, all the while they're climbing on top of each other, sliding into turns, etc.... A little crazy... not seeing a return trip in the near future.
Anyhow, great day overall, fantastic company - Tom (3kings) in the house at TBD yesterday! great seeing ya, bro!

A quick glance through the PP's and back to the Downs for day three

We are all trying to figure out this skull busting pick 4. Leo, Bigs, Rudeboy, Exacta Bob and yours truly all on sight today.

Exacta Bob has the quote of the week so far. After he hit a nice exacta with a bomb in 2nd, we asked what he saw in the horse...

"The horse looked so bad I had to use him underneath."

Just an absolute perfect ending to the past few days. Lots of laughs at dinner with Bigs, Rude and their two lovely wives. Great times with even greater friends. Flight home to the Star City departs around @ 2:20 tomm afternoon.

A fantastic few days has come to an end. Boarding the flight home in shortly over an hour.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Bigs and his wife. The ultimate hosts were incredibly kind in opening up their home to me. I'd be very hard pressed to find a nicer couple anywhere. Happy to call them friends.

"Sabrina", if your reading this, I have only 2 words for you:

HVGeeeeee

This is Sir Swervalot...over and out.
