These are ridiclous violations. The NCAA simply looks past Saban and company absolutely just paying off families yet they have rules against fog machines. The rules are a joke and I wish AZ would start cheating and paying off guys in football like they do in basketball.

Another violation occurred when a fog machine was used as a recruit entered the field at Neyland Stadium during his official visit on Jan. 9.

Under NCAA recruiting rules, schools are prohibited from simulating a game experience for recruits during official visits.

They were getting the recruit ready for the fog machine ahead
of the actual practice used to acclimate the active players
to the stress and game situation readiness the fog machine
simulates...

this guy has always rubbed me the wrong way, he just seems way too cocky for his own good, like a spoiled rich kid or something. And we all know daddy is gonna be running the show down there, ol Lane is just gonna be the face. Hope he spends less time w/the vols then he did w/ the raiders

signing day was last tuesday and kiffin has a kid that wants out of his LOI already. claims kiffin lied to him and his family.
i think kiffin is in WAY over his head in the SEC. he is swimming with the sharks now. not the pansies of the PAC-10.

that's it in a nutshell, he's in over his head. and yes cannon, absolutely they need to revisit some of their rules.
however, i just found it ironic that this bozo comes out swinging at urban meyer, and he's the one breaking rules-absurd as they may be. like the sec said the other day regarding fla and kiffins comments, we expect our coaches to know the rules and regs. he obviously doesn't.

Kind of funny that his Dad was probably the best coach to not ever get a head coaching job and now his son might turn out to the worst coach to keep on getting head coaching jobs.

I think it is kind of premature to say he is a bad coach dont ya think?
Exactly what coach could have done well in Oakland ? Not a surprise that they started playing better late in the season when Al got sick and the coaches could actually do things like they wanted to.

The Old Man is not head coaching material. He had several opportunities to interview for NFL gigs and turned most of them down because he knew his place. I don't think he'll be running the show. He knows one thing, defense. Although, after working with Chucky, he may be able to help his kid with some tips on what not to do with player relations.

I like the fact that the pot is being stirred. I have no idea how he will do, but I will be silently rooting for him to do well and continue to tweak the SEC. Even if he looks like a buffoon doing so.

yeah the SEC coaches are supposed to know the rules but arent required to follow them
His pro record was similar to Spurrier and Sabans and better than Petrino.
of course in the pros you have a salary cap and you cant just pay more than the next guy so coaching actually matters.
Not to mention that Kiffen might have gotten a little recruiting experience at USC.
Coming from where he has been (Al Davis' crypt) the SEC will be a breeze.

Do you still think he is in way over his head? I think he is doing a pretty darn good job with this team. I'm sure Phil Fulmer wouldn't be doing any better. He's not winning many games, but he's played Florida and Alabama way closer than anybody thought he would.

Granted he is doing this with Fulmer's recruits. It remains to be seen if he can recruit, but I think he is silencing his critics a bit, so far.

i think fulmer would/could be doing better. just two years ago, the vols were playing in the sec championship game vs lsu. fulmer was a heck of a recruit-no telling how many guys they lost when phil got the boot.
as for tenn holding bama to a close one, that imo had more to do with bama having an atrocious day then the vols having a good one. but bama still managed a win...

yes, he's staying close with daddy calling the defense, although he did call a pretty good offensive game.

Before the season, I thought it was going to be a train wreck and I think it is anything but that so far. Daddy is part of the package, we knew what he could do all along.

Just thought I'd give him a bit of credit considering the amount of grief he got. He's still and arrogant ass.

As a Gator fan, I can't stand the guy. He stole our recruits.

I remember all the crap Houston Nutt got with Arkansas.
Now he turns into a genius with Mississippi.

And the world turns.

Gee, I wonder where L Kiffin got the fog machine and mock press conference idea? You never here about P Carroll and almighty USC doing anything wrong.
BTW, UT already had reported 7 NCAA violations under Fulmer just this year but LK gets all the heat for his 2.

The coaching staff that UT has assembled is second to none in College FB. Its a who's who list of top recuiters. They will have a top 3 signing gay class the next few years. In part because LK can sell them on the thin depth charts where as UF and Alabama are fully stocked.

I guess I need to proofread.
They will be gay, as in partying in the streets out of excitement.
