Yowza! He looked just great yesterday. Nice to have him around. GP Handicap next. (BTW... Thx for getting the fig.)

Thanks for the fig, Andy!
Is there an article where Nick is quoted as saying that the colt is being pointed towards the GP Handicap or is that just a logical assumption? I'm thrilled to see that CCM has returned a much better horse than he was last year. I always thought he was talented, but he disappointed many times. He was a late May foal, though, so maybe he just needed time. |

Does CCM still just have his first two starts around one turn until this one? Tough to know if he's improved or if he simply liked the cutback in distance until we see him again.

maybe the horses beyers would have been better last year with a better trainer and thus it wouldn't have been such a jump up in beyers |

Count me among those eager to see Cool Coal Man run a big figure or impressive race outside of Gulfstream.

I'm biased, as I have always liked this horse and I am rooting for Nick, but I think he has a chance to do well in one turn races. I agree that he seems to like Gulfstream, but ultimately he probably was going further than he wanted most of the year. By the time he got to the Jerome he had already had a tough year and maybe he didn't like the mud.

No Steve. Bob Lapenta and Nick Zito really want to win at Finger Lakes, Thistledown, and River Downs. Plus, they hate Grade 1s, especially ones that can be worth millions in stud value, so why would they be thinking Met Mile? And I thought Joey was the only one asking me stupid questions today.
