Its not his fault... But a better performance
and the Eagles would have won. He certainly did
not have an outstanding game despite what the
statistics might show.

Personally that no call on the pass to Curtis I would have called
interference. That 4th down pass was on the money.
very brilliant post by pgardn

McNabb did not lose the game for us... the D did... but his stats look better than he did. 1st half was miserable. And Akers lost his mind.

watching the game and now just watching the highlights. DM played very well, IMO. he throws some of the most accurate, pretty deep passes in the game. gets enough air under the ball, allows the WR to run under it in stride. appreciate what you have philly fans.

he played very well in the second half. very poor passes in the first half. our D lost this game in the first half for us and Akers didnt help. DM can throw the deep ball just fine... its those 5 yard passes that seem so hard for him. Its confusing.

I'm sick of getting my hopes up just to get my heart broken. like i said, 4 losses in the NFC championship game is nothing to be proud of.

A healthy Westbrook would have helped as well, but too big of a first half hole to dig out of. When AZ can run the ball, bad things are going to happen.

I really don't think you can blame McNabb for this one. If I told all the Eagles fans that the iggs would score 25 before the game, most of you would have been booking air fare for Tampa. You hear alot about that Eagles defense (it's jusified they are a very good group), but they needed to make one more stand. They needed one guy to make a play and they couldn't get it done. To his credit Mcnabb looked like he was going to drive them right back. I still think Jackson short armed the 3rd down pass and Curtis should have had that ball on 4th down (I know there was some contact, but he still has to make that play). But bottom line is that the defense lost that game for the birds yesterday.

Agreed. To add, if I told eagle fans that Mcnabb was going to throw for 375 with 3 tds and 1 pick (really none) they would already be in tampa.

The defense allowed 32 points and a good portion of that was scored on sustained drives. Warner was 21-28 for 279 yds and 4 TDS. Edgerrin James gained 4.6 yds per carry. Most importantly? The Eagle defense DIDNT CREATE A SINGLE TURNOVER. They had two sacks after spending the entire afternoon blitzing.

That team thrived all season on turnovers and sacks. The only way you can fault the offense is that they couldnnt reinvent themselves into the 2007 patriots after the game started.

If I were to buy a franchise today and you told me that i was going to go to the superbowl 4 straight and not win, I would have the money wired before the ink on the contract dried.

If someone then told me years later that if i hired a certain coach and QB, that they would go on to 5 conference championships in 10 years and 1 superbowl appearance, I would ask how much money each of those guys wanted to be paid and probably add another 10% to keep them happy.

thats the difference between us.

you see 5 NFC Conference games with 4 losses as an accomplishment, I see it as a failure.

the only thing that ****ing matters in the league is getting a ring. that is all.

you're ****ing crazy if you dont think this years WR's are fine.... DeShaun Jackson (very good #2 guy, will develop into a good #1 WR), Kevin Curtis (also a very good #2 WR), Jason Avant (becoming a good WR eventhough he dropped one or two yesterday), Reggie Brown (not as good as should be but not bad for a 4th WR), Celeck is turning into a GREAT tight end, Hank Baskett (was going just fine till he started banging that chick from Girls next door) LJ Smith is a bust and I hate Greg Lewis.

How is that not a good group of WR's???? **** not every team can be the Cards or Pats and have Fitz/Bouldin & Moss/Welker.

If they were so good, how come they lead the league in dropped passes? I would think that a requisite to being considered a "good" receiver was actually catching the ball.

No?
