Left Louisville at 6:30 am and it was 35, got to turfway at 8 and it was 20 and windy. Makes you want to kill yourself. Inky ran ok, Makutus sucks.

Not a bad effort from Inky. Not sure what Makutus was up to today.

Who owns Cool Clue? I like his pedigree. Include was off to such a good start, where are his 2yos this year??? If pedigreequery is right, he's only had 5 2yo starters and 0 winners.

Some dude from Chicago. Sometimes horses get such small and weak mares their third year at stud they suddenly drop off for a year but this is an unusually slow year for him.

Its an artifact of the way breeders look at new stallions. The first crop and, to some extent the second, will be sold before the buying public has any idea whether the stallion will be successful so breeders will send (and the farm will recruit) good mares for him so their yearlings will sell well. By the third crop (oldest runners will be 3), breeders who sell yearlings will hedge their bets by not sending their better mares to him, in case he has been a total wash-out and they can't give away their yearlings, and this often extends to his 4th crop as well. By the 5th crop, the stallion's approximate quality is known and, if successful with those first two crops, the good mares are back.

Bred to 163 mares in 08 according to bloodhorse . 89th on the Ky sire list with over $3 mil .

He does not appear in the top 150 of 2 yr olds this year . #150 is Yankee Gentleman with $280k .

Hey I feel for you Chuck, below is what I woke up to Dec 11th...and I live in south Louisiana!

Needless to say we were alittle shocked when we woke up. The weather guys kept saying "Oh it will be light flurries, nothing will stick".... I had 7 inches at my house and I am just northeast of Baton Rouge in the country.

I wouldn't be out there if you paid me. Should be the cheapest Bears Packers scalped ticket ever.
