Why isnt this story fair game? No one said that Obama did anything wrong but there are unnamed people still deeply involved and there is a good chance that some of them may be on Obama's staff. Republicans arent involved in this story, it is 100% crooked Democrats. I believe that Riot's blanket defense of Obama and implication that the RNC is making this out to be a bigger story than it should be is either partisan or naive. The media has treated Obama with kid gloves on this yet the ridiclous assertion that Republicans are somehow to blame for the news coverage baffles me. Hell for all we know it may have been Rahm or someone on Obama's staff that worked with the Feds on nabbing Blago. But despite all the unknown details it is all the republicans fault. Priceless.

Well..Illinois had 37 years of Right wing Guvs and 3 are/were in jail....guess we led by example.

The rush by the right to make sure that justice is done here and that no one Obama is involved with has done anything wrong is exemplary. But...where the F*ck have you been the last 8 years?

I just think Democrats are being unusually touchy over this subject. Casting stones at the RNC over a Democratic scandal where there are connections between a crooked Gov and the President elect over his Senate seat is a stretch. Especially considering that the story is far from completely told. Like I said before maybe Obama will come out smelling like a rose.

It's not the blaming Bush..It's the holding Bush to the same standards that "you" now put on Obama. Because of 9/11, Bush got a free pass to, in my mind, do a lot worse things that Blago did, and certainly worse that anyone has tried to connect Obama to. I began to reply in this post to Riot's partisan blaming of th RNC for this story being covered. Like the media wouldnt run with this especially in a slow news period where the financial stories and auto industry peices have grown monotonous. If Bush's chief of staff had 21 taped conversations with a Governor who was accused of selling a Senate seat among other things you dont think that would be a huge story? Hell the guy throwing shoes at Bush has been covered more extensively outside of Chicago than the Blago story. I have no outrage over the situation though i would love to know what Emmanuel and Obama knew about this guy.

Bush got a free pass? From who? the NY post? Bush has been blamed for everything from global warming to gas prices rising which of course he had virtually nothing to do with either.
