Well, Indygo Mountain was a late scratch. Code of Honour went out to the lead and held a slim advantage over 1/2 Friesan Fire through 23.15, 46.10 fractions. Around the turn, Friesan Fire went past that leader and seemed to have the race all his own if he was good enough. Uno Mas had tracked a couple back in third on the outside of Escalon and was also asked to move to keep up with Friesan Fire. By the top of the lane, it was clear that Uno Mas was going to win as they his 6f in 1:11.43. He collared that one with ease and won drawing off as much the best. Friesan Fire was a clear second while Escalon, who was really being asked to run going into the turn, finished third. Final time was 1:37.90.
In my opinion, none of these horses looked like anything that we'll hear much from as 3yo's, especially Friesan Fire. He looks like garbage to me. Hammersley wrote in the form that with his breeding, distance wouldn't be an issue but it's worth noting that the best he's looked was his maiden race and in each succeeding race, each at a longer distance than the one before, he's looked worse.
