Note that they actually have the exception... Nevada, Delaware, Oregon, and Montana.

The reason is it effectively increases their takeout, because let's say for example a 3 team parlay that should pay 8-1 in Vegas I guarantee will pay 7-1 or 6.5-1, yet most people aren't smart enough to realize that. This is what they do in Ontario. Their net take is closer to 15% rather than the 4.5% in Nevada this way...

All I know is that one of the 3,832 times I have been stuck in traffic in DE driving to and fro DC and points north, I wouldn't have minded stopping in Christiana a few times to throw some duchats at a 3-game parlay.

Your best for playing sports is to play offshore and have a local agent. That way its all cash. No credit cards or wiring. No nonsense and the good ones offer everything. KP

It isn't like the local agent is advertising though, it is all word of mouth which isn't the easiest information to find out

I really like the way this is done in Canada many times when I was at Woodbine I would Play "Proline" Here is a link to how it is played up there.

You can take a 3 team parley and depending on how you play it your odds can be 15, 20-1.

Too bad the State of Delaware won't contract this out to legitimate gaming companies to open a proper bookmaking operation. Las Vegas books have been criticized in recent years for their conservative sportsbook operations, but at least you can walk in make a straight wager. Serious sports bettors are straight bettors. Some will make parlays in certain situations, but generally they are single game bettors. I can see these places mobbed with 25 year old males betting small time $5 and $10 6 teamers. In my opinion, this will not generate the revenue they are hoping for. If they truly want to maximize their revenues, they need to open a legitimate sportsbook, and compete with the offshores and local bookmakers. I live in the Philadelphia area and would surely drive to Delaware to wager on some games I like. I will not however make the drive if I'm forced to parlay.

You can turn a two teamer parlay into a straight bet (by betting the side you like with both sides of another game), but you end up paying double juice, -125 usually. In Ontario they used to put out the lines early for NFL Sundays and sometimes there would be ones that were wayyyy off so it was actually worth it. Like I remember one specific time they had the Eagles at -3 when the real line was -12 or something...
