No link yet, but I have heard that Sweet Vendetta - winner of the GII Black Eyed Susan this year, has passed away at Winstar from some sort of bacterial infection. Terribly sad news. She was planned to be bred to Distorted Humor this season. I'll pass on confirmation when I get it.

WTF? How did I miss Mighty Beau? I can't remember how many times I saw him run in Derby/Preakness undercards. I hope Sgt. Bert is doing ok.

12 year old Toulouse-Lautrec (IRE), who was 2nd at Exeter today (Axminster Carpets Devon Marathon Handicap Chase)...
Toulouse-Lautrec, who returned from a layoff with a solid effort over hurdles earlier in the month, stayed on dourly to finish runner-up in this event for the second occasion. He sadly died shortly after the race, however. Jump in peace.
