he basically obtained the stock the Darley/Godolphin wanted to get rid of, and his owners got them for pennies on the dollar. So you take that stock and run them at tracks like Emerald Downs and Turf Paradise hence the high win percentages. With a barn full of million dollar rejects and blue bloods a good deal of them should be able to beat allowance and claiming races in WA and Arizona

I remember him when he was training in So Cal, he used to use Stevens quite a bit before he made it big as an A Jockey. The training job of shortening up Hesabull in the BC Sprint to almost steal it was a gem, always thought he was a good trainer.
