I've said more than a few times how interesting it is to see the difference in people's behavoir on the internet as opposed to in person. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face you should seriously consider whether or not you want to post it here....or anywhere.

Calm down Andy, I was ONLY giving Micheal's signature racing call.....geez!

I think I deserve an apology for your reply, but that statement could go for certain other people that post here and "label" someone as racist!

Calm down? If I was any calmer I would lapse into a coma.

Whether it's his signature call or not, doesn't mean that making jokes about this is appropriate, and that was the point of my post.

More than a few members here have been misled by lies that a former member here has told about me. I don't care, I just consider the source and shake my head that people would listen to what a person like that says, but that doesn't make it right.

I guess I've should have posted that at the beginning of the thread instead of posting it AFTER that statement....sorry if I offended you or anyone else.

Believe me when I say that both Peter Berry and Michael Wrona are my two favorite race callers and I would say that to anybody that asked.

Boy..the jockeys should be lining up with the libel threats...what an over reaction this was. If you can't take the heat..or the false accusations..then you shouldn't be in the limelight

i think you, michael wrona, should pack your bags and head for churchill downs. you are one of the best and most exciting callers i have ever heard on the west coast. precise calls, witty, interesting, excellent.

TAKE YOUR SEAT ABOVE THE TWIN SPIRES SIR....................

Australians are just better racecallers in general, Wrona should get the job.

But CDI will likely mess it up

When the hunt for a new announcer came up, I put together a list of the top racecallers down under and got them to the appropriate parties with mobile phone numbers, contact info, etc...

Those guys down under are amazing.

I would hardly call the potential hiring of Bobby, Michael, Larry or Mark a "mess up."

I appreciate your input, but Wrona is at the head of the class in my opinion. You did a fine job though, and I wish you the best.

It's like the difference between Kobe Bryant and a high school kid. The huge fields they deal with along with the absence of color coded saddle cloths make the task they accomplish pretty amazing.

Always colorful with their calls and they make it seem like they are just relaxing through the race without getting nervous and trying to "find" horses.

The in-race analysis of how it is setting up is another thing that the antipodean guys are experts at. They really know their racing and circuits.
