It has been the worst on record, its been on all the news channels. I got these allergies as "adult onset" only 5 year or so years ago. One summer about three years ago was bad, but this was just a killer. I've been extremely depressed the last few weeks. Its like waking up and functioning the whole day with a hangover(except that you didn't even drink anything). Headache, sluggish, water retention, eyes hurt, throat hurts, no energy, can't concentrate. Its like the whole world in front of you is in a cloud or has a dreamlike quality. Its so depressing because you wake up and just want to feel normal again. Just go to your Dr and tell him you have ragweed allergies and want the nasal spray you have heard they prescribe for it. Then head on down to the CVS across from Congress Park and get to it!!! You will be a very happy camper! |

What surprised me was that I was not allergic to most stuff outside. I had more INDOOR allergies. MOSTLY Dust mites. YIPEE! Flonase is awesome. I do better outdoors than indoors. I really should have a job where I am outside.

I never had any allergies before, then two years ago I got really sick with some sinus and lung infections. Then last year the same thing set in and caused some pneumonia that ruined my hunting season because of a persistent cough. I went through two months thinking I was dying and then a specialist tells me it's just a ragweed allergy. He put me on Singulair and an inhaler this fall and nothing yet, so I'm pretty optimistic.

For me it's mostly cats and dust. My husband has a contact allergy to horses, poor guy.
