Finally got to see Thomas without those HUGE shades and, as it turns out, I remember him from the '80's at BEL/AQU. Would see him with his 'partner' taking notes in front of some monitor during the running of the races, always engaged in discussion about the trips. They both would have a couple of bags with stacks of paper (their NOTES, I suppose).

Vindication for BT, IMO, would be ACTUALLY WINNING AT THE RACES, i.e. SHOWING A CONSISTENT PROFIT, rather than basically wasting his time doing color/morning lines for MTH/MED. What's next for him: posting on DT or PA?

Post of the year material above....perhaps a DT Eclipse is in his future.

EDGAR PRADO has to be added here as do any number of other Hall of Fame jocks who are obvious "frauds".

I think Henry is EXTREMELY unlikely here. He's 75-1 in this spot as far as I am concerned.
Murtagh has a much better chance on Duke of Marmalade.

I don't like horses stretching out 2f, & I don't like horses trying a synthetic surface for the first time. He's doing both.
I just can't find any reason to think he will be effective at 10f on this surface.
He has never gone beyond a mile and there is no real reason to think the increase in distance will do anything but hurt him. When you throw in the surface-switch and the fact that he doesn't seem to be in the exact same form he was in when he rattled off those G1s this spring/summer, I think he is very unlikely.

Henry hasn't shown he can handle 10f, whereas the Duke is world class at 10f (at least on turf). Not a difficult choice for him, I would think.

Has he gone that far?
