No one said "Kill him", so everyone can drop the phony outrage.

Hopefully this is true, but it wasn't "phony" outrage, or as CP would say..."whining"..Go read through any aol message board that follows an article on the election. Guaranteed there will be a "shoot the nigga'" or " string him up" references in many. Yes, it's very random and unscientific sampling, but that stuff is pretty creepy, IMO.

I agree with you. All sided are at fault on this and it does nothing but continue to divide the nation. I also saw a bunch of stuff as you referenced above as well calling McCain "whitey" and "cracker" as well as calling his wife and Palin the "C" word.

Conflicting reports:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081015/...secret_service

WASHINGTON - The Secret Service is looking into a second allegation that a participant at a Republican political rally shouted "kill him," referring to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

why is it 'phony' outrage? people ought to be outraged when they hear things like this. if no one said it, it's great. but when someone hears it was said, absolutely they should be outraged.

the problem imo is with those who aren't outraged.

also, your article is about a second supposed incident in scranton. just because this occurrence may be unfounded, doesn't mean it was also unfounded in florida-that was the incident the washington post had an article about.

Yet the direct affiliation with the hate monger reverend wright gets less press.

barrack obama is responsible for what rev wright says? if wright made a specific threat, say against mccain, i think the secret service would be investigating that.

He's a racist and Obama was a member of his church. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Obama had no problem with the reverend until ABC played the videos.

It's all fake outrage by the Obama AND the McCain camps.

but i'd imagine that most people don't go along with all their churches teachings...of course i doubt a lot of churches go quite as overboard as his. or maybe they do. i don't go to church anymore, but i'd hate to think that since i used to go to catholic church that people would think i was in lockstep with them on every isse.
and yeah, both sides are equally guilty. we see that every day. regardless of the issue, each side plays the blame game, and nothing gets accomplished.

I don't either. But I'll be damned if I'm going to give the next president a pass for attending a church where the pastor thinks the government created HIV to kill minorities.
