Hello SportyFans.
I may be giving out the ol' "nl" on future Ohio State games. I think if a nutshell offering were to be made it would be the statement C-Wells made after the game yesterday...as part of a very frustrated offense. He simply said...we need to pass more.This isn't working. Which is true. The defense is a little better than average......maybe it's in the B to B- area. The offense is bad...as I previously mentioned Better when the change was made to FRESHMAN qb Pryor.FRESHMAN qb Pryor who performed like a senior in the last drive at Wisconsin for the game winning td. Everyone plays Ohio State with stopping the run in the forefront of their minds. They did the same thing with Boeckman. They did it with him because of his lack of passing skills. They do it with Pryor because he's a FRESHMEN.....who won the Wisconsin game on a long drive leaving only a minute 8 or so on the clock....and by PASSING. It's not like he can't throw because he can.The o-line isn't sa hot and has recently replaced a senior with a freshman on that same line But they are worse when Ohio runs predictable plays time after time. 14 passes yesterday---that was it.10 were completed,but they have to throw more and more down field because this isn't going to get it.There is nothing wrong with Pryor--Ohio's main problem is predictability. The o-line would be better and get more confidence if we got away from Bo's Ark fb.With the defense...that would be good enough to win out. And please...the Maurice Wells up the middle play should be burned. Ohio State does not run a spread, Pryor is not the problem,but the solution to a bad qb problem. Finally...for you junior point shavers out there......NEVER use the Team A lost to Team B....and the very next week lost in a much larger way to Team C;therefor Team C will beat team B should they meet---theory. Only boneheads think like that.

Pryor made absolutely awful reads yesterday, awful.
The play calling is conservative because Tressel is trying to win games with a Freshman. The playbook must be trimmed. Tressel is doing exactly what he needs to do right now with a freshman, try not to make mistakes until the kid gets his feet. Bean man is nowhere near 100% and that also hurts. He breaks into the open and gets run down. He seems to be able to cut OK, but his downfield speed is nowhere near it should be. He is the best RB in college football playing injured. Luckily its Michigan St. next week and not Penn. St. Michigan St. is winnable because they have a bad habit of playing stupid football with good players. OSU fans, hope they play stupid. Like they pull against ND everyother year. And Morton thanks me. i am starting to admire the patience mortun is displaying... I hope he has not grown up

Ignoring the counter intelligence in The Gardener's post,SportyFans,if Ohio State keeps the same offensive scheme ( I use that lightly) they will lose at MSU.
If they open it up and throw more square outs and slants that Pryor has been hitting since he started and throw some down field.....they will win. They will see more of the same....defenses stacking for the run and cutting off the edges....daring the pass. You can't steal 2nd with your foot anchored to first. This isn't the 2002 defense.

I am venturing into the vast cheating wing conspiracy called the nfl.
I'm taking the Giants giving 7.5 Why? Because I just heard a reporter ask Romeo how important this Monday night game at home against the reigning world champions Giants is: His answer: Well..it's just like any other game.We're going to try and win this game. I am now 10-10 and pretty doggoned mad at dem beans.
There is a curse going around that I will now break forever. Ohio State....taking the 1.5.....or whateveah. Make it the 1.5 This is gunna be too easy. EAUXH!!!!......one.5.....one game.....one win
