The only good restaurants in KY are in Midway IMO. Cafe la Belle and The Black Tulip. In Lex, Dudley's is about the only place worth a mention.

Sounds good to me Darren, but I'm quite happy with the pressed Cubans at Tampa Bay Downs, so what do I know?

I think you and I are out of our league discussing food with this bunch.

You can get a cheesy double beef burrito and two Volcano taco's for like $2.76 at Taco Bell right now.

That's all me.

Is that the place you were raving about to me lately that gave you your first taste of authentic Mexican food?

I don't eat steak or seafood, so what's left on the menu is pretty sparse. But my parents thought it was OK when they visited.

Thanks for all the suggestions -- a heavy bout of the Keeneland atmosphere getting to me, leading to too much drinking at the track, sort of killed any hope I had for seeing anything good or getting any good food.

With that said, those who talked about Lexington food being underwhelming certainly weren't kidding.

A great time anyway, can't wait to go back. Outside of Arlington, it's probably my favorite track I've ever been to...and it may even actually give my home track a run for its money.

Place was beautiful, the racing was great, the people were friendly, and the payoffs were plenty palatable all weekend
