Yeah...Wait A While at 5/2 in that race was a joke.

Ouija Board, Film Maker and Honey Rider was, perhaps, the easiest trifecta of all time. I think it paid around $30, too.

Wasn't Henny Hughes a ridiculously low price in the Sprint that year also? maybe even money.

He was 8-5. Bordonaro was second choice at 4-1. I will forever hate Thors Echo.

Yeah, I thought Henny Hughes was a sure thing. I think I suckered myself into the Bernardini - Discreet Cat hype figuring he could piggyback off their success since the connections were the same.

I played an anti-Wait a While trifecta and couldn't believe how well it paid.

Only reason I made any kinda on that day was because my girl Round Pond won and Asi Siempre was taken down and Happy Ticket was placed 2nd.

I was alive to 5 horses in the Sprint for a pick 4 after singling both DOA in the Juv Filly and Ouija Board. Have I mentioned I still hate Thors Echo?

So did I- 'twas the best BC I've ever had. Street Sense ($32.80), Ouija Board ($4.80), Round Pond ($29.80), and Invasor ($15.40) all on top. The Sprint and Turf knocked me out of multirace wagers though... not that I was complaining.

Now that I think about it, there has been a LOT of terrible Frankel favorites. Aldebaran & Midas Eyes in back to back years, while outstanding horses, were terrible bets at their respective odds in the 6F Sprint.

One of my better ones as well. Ouija Board big on the turf, then kept betting the 1 on the dirt.

I think Arazi was favored in the Mile, even though he had established he was toast numerous times during the course of the year.

Caltech I think was favored in the '89 Turf. He was an allowance horse that won the Bud International. Somehow, Euro horses that had ran decent races in the Arc, had prior Group 1 form, and came from two of the biggest stables in France (ie Star Lift and Sierra Roberta), went off at ridiculously huge odds ). They ran 2-3 as Prized won the race at 5-1 or so.

Can't remember if she was favored, but I remember Ragin Fever's performances getting worse and worse (despite winning) as the distances got longer during her 2yo campaign.

Just as it was the first time around with Wonder Again rounding that out. Ouija Board-Film Maker-ALL was about as easy as it came.
