PS...Don't you find it a little funny that I am sending Hank Goldberg memos on how to win money when I am betting across the board on 2-1 horses

make your own opinions, you made all these wps bets today, now you would just stop because someone said so ? i agree with hoss on the show, but there is nothing wrong with win/place

Well the fact of the matter is I am up close to $1000.00 this year, and most of it was on Big Brown. Most of it was also when he won the Fla Derby and KY Derby when I got some decent odds. I still bet him in every race despite his heavily favorite odds.

Recently, I strayed from the script with this across the board stuff and have not been nearly as successful. So the advice of Hoss is very sensible to me.

show is a waste.....
have i not been saying that ?

example, i bet the 10 win place today in the first at belmont..... now if i bet him just to win or put him on top of other horses like other ppl say, i would have lost everything, instead, i made a few bucks on the bet.

What if it's a case that you clearly see a horse that you believe strongly will finish 1st or 2nd.......but you're having a tough time picking a couple of the other let's say 9 or 10 horses to put with it?

The exactas as a substitute for the place are a great strategy if you feel moderately strong about any other horse in the race.

I think if you only see one....and the pools are appropriate.......throw the win/place action out there and keep it simple.

I hate to include any horse in my wager I do not feel very strongly will be where my $$ is.
