Fascinating that an amazon like her that comes from way behind, was within three lengths of the pace and still sailed on in ...
It showed me a new dimension, even conceding the slow early pace ... This mare is just too good ... She is elegant, full of personality, and can run ... Perfectly ... Despite the clamor to run her against males---where she does belong---I applaud the connections that are letting her grow into her huge body and mature mentally ... If she runs next year, I can not see her not going against males ... And successfully ... |

Yes, he could have won with a "smart ride" which is an oxymoron when Mike Smith is the jockey. Stardom Bound is good enough vs. her competition to overcome that ride but Tiago is not.... The ride on Tiago was so bad i was embarassed for Smith.
