I just got off the phone with John. He had a positive things to say, said it was good experience and that she cooled out well and was on her toes after the race. In the morning we will work on a van to get her back home to KY. I am sure Chuck will update you with more infowhen it becomes available.

I talked to John about 45 minutes afterwards and he said that she scoped fine and other than being a little wound up after the race was fine, no cuts or scrapes. Obviously we werent going to win regardless of trips but that was about as tough of a trip as you could ask of a first time starter. As long as she comes out of it ok we can pretty much chalk it up to experience and move on to the next race.

On way back after checking on Aldeb. Came back 100%, scoped clean according to Chuck via John. She was alert, eager to eat and not tired.

Cornelio thought she was green noting she was annoyed by the dirt in her face, but acknowledged finding trouble repeatedly.

Great group of about 30 came out on a summery day at Belmont, and everyone had a fun afternoon. Thanks to all that were watching and rooting.

Photos tomorrow and more.

Thumbs up

Karen & I had a great time today Great to see everybody & nice to be at Belmont when it's not freezing (like B.C. Cups '90,'95,'01 & '05) My only concern was getting there & back without getting lost and it was a piece of cake traffic not bad at all. Thanks for everything Steve (including the directions back) She'll live to fight another day & got A LOT of experience from the race.
