No idea how bad it is but for him to miss this... I'm assuming it's not good. I think you're right and the Arc is out and there goes the automatic invite to Japan.
![]() I don't know if he's BC nominated... anyone? edit - As an aside, Quijano landed in Canada this morning for the Northern Dancer. (Since he was mentioned, thought I'd post it here...) ![]() Last edited by my miss storm cat : 09-03-2008 at 06:49 PM. |

Saddex switches trainer - never heard of him...
i was hoping it would be Fabre.SADDEX, as low as 25-1 in some lists for the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, is being targeted at the Longchamp showpiece, in which he finished sixth last year, but has left trainer Peter Rau to join German compatriot Werner Baltromei. The son of Sadler's Wells has not been seen in public since beating Pressing to land his second Group 1 victory in the Premio Presidente della Repubblica in Rome in May. He was to have had his final Arc prep in last Sunday's Grosser Preis von Baden, but was forced to miss that assignment with a minor problem. "He has had a setbackbut the aim is to train him for the Arc if possible," said Baltromei on Wednesday. Saddex is owned by Stall Avena, who have also moved their other two horses from Rau to Baltromei, including Manduras, a four-year-old half-brother to Manduro.
