People are already leaving Beaumont...
Gonna be massive traffic jams if they call for a manditory evacuation of Houston. Rita caused an evacuation disaster. |

It is an absolute nightmare again...I could feel the urgency in the air a little while ago when I went to my Moms..Stores are closed and some gas stations are already out of gas
I am still unsure at this point because everyone is headed toward Houston and that is where I would be going..I guess if anything "good" right now is that Beaumont is not going to be hit directly like with Rita 3 yrs ago. Oh..what to do.. what to do... ![]() |

Fill the tub with H2O. Get the flashlights ready. Can opener with canned food. They still are not sure what will happen. But the winds are God awful high in a very large area. Thats not good this early. Most likely you will be fine. If it does go more West... Yikes. |

First Mandatory evacuation of New Orleans.
Hopefully it is organized and people leave. Its time to move people out from land below sea-level. For good. Pure stupidity, they keep building on a delta. |
