in the travers i like 2,3,5,9,11,12

i have 3 days to trim it down and i will try to, but IMO j be k is the biggest play against on the card

Good betting race. I'll get to see the best 3 year old colts in the country run on Saturday. Doesn't get much better than that.

I think the only way to play the King's Bishop is to look for a speed duel between Desert Key and J Be K. They're both so fast/talented that I think they'll take each other out - Johnny V. says he's going to rate with Desert Key but that horse is a little headstrong. I'll rely on Kodiak Kowboy but also use some of the higher priced off-the-pace types.

I like Jerken's horse Desert Key. The race he ran against Kodiak Bear was simply amazing. One of the gutsiest efforts I have ever seen. Shame he lost. Kodiak Bear had perfect trip and still only got by him by an inch.
I believe I have found my single for Saturday's late picks.

The Travers is infinitely more interesting than I ever would have imagined it would be in the spring. It looks very competitive.

Great Travers Card. If the weather stays fine, NYRA could have a great day.
Most interesting Travers field I've seen in many years. Good luck everyone!!

I agree. Not sure why sop many are complaining that its dull. The past 4 or 5 runnings have really hurt this race's great reputation. This field is the most competitive top to bottom since the early 90's.
You can go so many different ways in this year's race and will get paid for being right.

haven't looked at the whole card but the early PK4 is a cluster F. 3 MSW and a state-bred turf they drew 16 horses. I say easy 4 figure payout if not 5, if i only knew which ones to pick though

and yes, the travers field has depth galore, should be a great race to watch

gl all

First Saratoga card of the year that will have me going to the windows with both fists. The Travers came up much better than I expected.
