I can't speak to all the races, but I know that the 8th is off the turf.

They will be off today, for certain, and from the looks of things, through tomorrow ( I suppose there is a chance we keep the stake on soft turf ). Frankly, considering Friday's forecast, I doubt we will be on the turf before Sunday if not later.

I agree. Can't see it getting taken off unless the track floods between now and then.

Going to rain all day tomorrow and hard

They'll do whatever it takes to keep the Sword Dancer on the turf. Its a Grade 1. If its slippery, so what.

Handicap it for soft turf.

Given what's transpired so far, I highly doubt this is the mindset of 'they'.

I think NYRA should announce that they'll be NO MORE TURF RACING at SAR and stop wasting the time of turf handicappers.

Get it the **** over with.

Save your precious courses for next summer and fall workouts of horses stabled up there.

What's ironic is that when they do run on the turf it's all claimers and maiden races.

How could this situation have been any worse?

It would actually be really neat if they ran a race like the Sword Dancer on dirt. I wonder if any MTO's are entered?

Somehow, I am getting the idea that you have an agenda. I had last Fri/Sat/Sun off to go the track and this Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun and might wind up only going 2 of those 8 days so I certainly have my problems with the off the turf races. But to possibly place the fault on the NYRA for this one is redonkulous. For all their faults they are at least intelligent enough to know that every race they take off the turf costs them money. It is too bad you aren't as intelligent as they are to see that or you are too blinded by your agenda to post anymore intelligently than Sumitas.
