I can't tell you how stoked I was for EA and the connections. Was watching at Keeneland and halfway through the race the entire place starting screaming for EA. I'd venture to guess less than 10% of the joint actually bet the race so it's simply for the sport of it.

EA in the Breeders Cup Marathon will be a lot of fun, even if the poly isn't necessarily to his liking.

Congratulations to Evening Attire
and all the connections. What a
race! The track announcer was so
excited too. How could you not
love him, he even came out of
the gate well today. Thank you
Evening Attire, you are what the
sport is all about. May you remain
happy, healthy, safe and sound.
LOVE YOU!

We do know he didn't like the rock hard dirt the last time he ran the BC in SA. At least the poly "promises" a fair track to all runners this time.

Congrats to Evening Attire... Just wonderful stuff for the horse and all the connections. Maybe you should send him over to Europe and give Yeats and Septimus a try? Actually scratch that thought stick with beating up Malibu Moonpuppy and Successful Affair.

Congrats, I was at the OTB where they did not show the race, but I heard the live call. Was very exciting, just listening to the race you still got the feeling EA was a winner way before he got the lead.

Attire does not run on turf. That has been well established. And at 12f, he would be going up against Macarthur and Duke of Marmelade. Not that I don't think Attire would love 2 miles as well.

NTRA and Breeders cup have a once in a lifetime opportunity (With EA maybe more than once) to promote the SH** out of Evening Attire, the 10 year old who nixes retirement and keeps rolling along. This is the type of feel good story that closes a National Evening News broadcast.. If he runs in the Cup and the Breeders Cup/NTRA play it right they will generate loads of new blood to watch to see the old guy run in the cup.. Let's hope they don't drop the ball once again...
