EAJ, I watched the Keppel horse. That horse has beautiful movement. He looks exactly like the type of horses who win at Del Mar early in the meet. I'm not sure if he got a lil tired late, or the others went so slow that they had too much left. I'm gunna go with Liberian Freighter and Keppel in that leg. I'm not quite sure Keppel wants the last sixteenth of a mile, and he will have to be best(cuz this jock can only win with the best horse, or a perfect trip set up.) I don't think he will be that big of a price though. These connections got the big price about 3 weeks ago with W'SCRPT. So, it should take play. To me, he has beaten better in Europe, but it was going shorter.

Great observation on Mr. Keppel Scuds. I had the same conclusion yesterday when watching the replay of him at GG. Did you notice those fractions??? :25 :50 1:15 and yet he rallies from second to last to losing by only a half length. A mile is probably what he wants and if hes 100% tommorow he is dangerous. I also noticed Sadler 4 winners from 5 starts when shipping horses from No. Cal to Del Mar.
His odds will be determined on how sky cape does in the first division.

The 8th is a toss-up... But love the work pattern and last race for Cannonball ... could be up to last years form and has faced the best 3 YO Turf competition... Post Hurts...

I think Liberian Freighter will have too much competition on the front end... speed won't hold up...

If Dixie Chatter takes to the turf Migs can work a good trip from the 3 hole and steal it entering the stretch...

So Chatter and Cannonball on top.... anyone else could complete super except maybe Cee Bargara... like Keppel, Afleet Ruler, and Tango as my 2nd tier...

Chatter the winner $15 and supers paid 1591 and 1757.. love it when a dead heat completes the ticket..... wish I could have played freighter in the 3 spot... and cashed both ways... hope everyone did well today

Wow,if this isn't a case where they are tempted to switch jocks, then what is? I'm not saying he won't run 2nd the same way(again,) just saying you know Sadler would want to try Gomez. Funny, cuz the only reason this jock gets the mount (in the first place) is he is married to the owner's daughter....LOL..BIDNEZ IS BIDNEZ...I bet you see a jock change.

Willie Shoemaker being on that horse wouldn't have made a difference. Isaias Enriquez gave him a perfect ride and that's coming from someone who bet on him. He never went wide, he waited for an opening turning for home, got it but was just outmoved by a classy horse. What should he have done, waited on the inside like Gomez, who only got a seam when it was too late?

It's easy to pile on jockeys but more often than not it's unfair and this, in my opinion, is one of those cases.

It's a results business. He had his chance, and twice came 2nd. They will switch. I am not saying he did anything wrong technically. He isn't getting to the wire 1st with the horse. That's not the result they want. Given a chance to get a top 2 jock, they will do it. They thought Black Mamba was getting good rides, too. They tried a top 2 jock, and got their result. Some people are better than others. To be honest, the horse would probably romp going shorter. They had him running 6 and 7f in Europe.

Actually Scuds, Enriquez rode him real nice just could not catch the winner. On the gallop out both dixie chatter and Mr . Keppel were troting even. I hope enriquez sticks on this horse as opposed to Gomez cause it will make be a huge differemce in odds next time out.

At least Kilderry wins for me but at a discounted 5-1 odds. He will be first/second choice next out in the next logical race (La Jolla handicap) BUT i believe a mile is his limit.

Gomez or Bejarano can get that horse up. We aren't talking 2-3 lengths here. You make up this margin, and you get paid double. Got to switch. Your not gunna do worse, and (like I said) will probably get up. This is when you must upgrade(short margin losses.) They will change, or they won't get in the circle. Be sentimental, nice, etc., or get smart.

Listening to Sadler's interview in the paddock gave me the notion he wants to bring Mr. Keppel into the big leauge. If his cards are played right, we might see im in the Oak tree mile and if he does well there then Breeders Cup.
