Luke Kruytbosch, the announcer at Churchill Downs, Turf Paradise, and Ellis Park who was found dead Monday morning in his Evansville, Ind., apartment, will be memorialized in a service at Ellis Park when racing resumes there Wednesday.
Ellis Park’s director of operations, Bob Jackson, said the track is still working out the details of the service, but tentative plans call for it to begin before the first race, “maybe five minutes to 12 (central) and last for about 10 or 15 minutes,” said Jackson. http://www.drf.com/news/article/96379.html |

More details on the service Saturday and a tribute was paid today as the first race was run in silence.
http://www.ellisparkracing.com/event...e-7cbd20c93a6d I'm going to try to make it to Ellis for the tribute on Saturday, if anyone will be there.

I will be there also. It's a sad way to meet, but maybe a few DTers can get together to toast the big guy.
