Post Race.....The pace, for me, was faster than I thought it would have been for the first quarter 22.41. They slowed it down during the next quarter 45.07. But I thought it would be more like 23 and 46. I thought Coach Ryan would have been more forwardly placed. I would not have imagined that he would be 9th at the 1/2. When he made a move down the backstretch, I thought Calvin was making up for lost ground at the start. As expected, Coach Ryan got a nice rail trip. Borel likes the rail and he dropped back. He did come off the pace as expected. The Darp ran a heck of a race. Pressed the early pace and held everyone, but Coach Ryan off. I guess since the 1st place and 3rd place horses were last and second to last the race set up for closers. I didnt see any races from Churchill today so I do not know if the track was favoring closers or not.

From a pedigree handicap I came up with EZ Phone Home, The Darp, and longshots Coach Ryan and Siena Canyon. Chuck debunked the cheap speed of EZ, shooulda tossed. Did not include Sinister, 2-0-1 at CD, because his pedigree was not as pretty as the rest. You still need to take a peek at some racing basics if you do a pedigree handicap, I learned. It's a fine line.
