I was wrong about PD. He ran terrible.

I can't believe Mast Track won. I saw that horse break his maiden first time out at the Fair Grounds and I really liked him. I figured Frankel might sell him for a reasonable price. I figured that if he would have really liked the horse that he wouldn't have had him at Fair Grounds. So I figured that maybe he would take $300,000 for the horse. We called him but he wouldn't sell him for $300,000. He said he wanted at least $500,000 so we passed.

I did not expect him to win today even though he looked like the only speed.

It's funny cuz Frankel wanted to run the horse in the Malibu late last year (he had only run a couple times on turf the spring/summer before) off a layoff. When he didn't particularly light the world on fire in allowance company nobody seemed disappointed that they didn't buy him.

If he had been sold, what were the odds he would have run in the Hollywood Gold Cup? Its kind of like the Charismatic situation, if someone had claimed him, would he have ever even been considered for the Kentucky Derby?

We'll see if he turns out to be another Marquetry (who validated his upset Gold Cup win) or just another Missionary Ridge (who took a weak version of the Pacific Classic in its early inception)...

I lost $200 WP on PD. But I had $55 WP on Whatsthrscript at 29-1 so I still had a good day.

how the hell did you come up with whatsthescript ?
i played the pick 3, i started it with the filly 2 yr old stakes race, i bet the 3 choices, i cought the maiden at 3-1... i went 4 deep, and left daytona off, i was way against him today and still could not come up with whatsthescript, and it sucked cause then i would have cought the next race... with the 5-2 favorite, i think it was the 7

He was the best 2 year old and 3 year old grass horse that we had out here. He was undeafeated out here on the grass. Then they shipped him back east to Churchill and he ran a good troubled 2nd in a stakes race out there. They gave him some time off and he ran one bad race in December That bad race in Decemeber was his first grass defeat on the west coast. Then he got some more time off and he was moved into John Sadler's barn. This was his frist race for Sadler.

If I figured that if he ran his best, he could probably beat everyone in the race with the possible exception of Daytona. So I bet whatsthesript to Win and Place and I made a saver exacta with Daytona on top and Whatsthescript 2nd.

I would have bet even a little more on Whatsthescript to win and place but I didn't have a ton of cash in my accounts that pay full track odds.
