I said the Lakers were totally reliant on Kobe(that's why I said I wouldn't bet the series.) He shot poorly the whole series. They weren't going anywhere with him missing open shots like he did all series. It was a very poor performance(much to the delight of all the low-level racists who are still outraged that he had rough sex with a very naughty white girl.) If your asking about the margin of victory, I think it's pretty simple math. Boston made about the same number of 2 point shots as they would normally make, but had an extra 30 points from the combination of free throws and three pointers. In other words, an extra 18 points from three pointers(than their average,) and they made an extra 12 free throws (than normal for them.) They shot very well. They deserved to win. It was a very hot shooting team(much like the years when the Spurs make everything they put up.) We will see how well they shoot next year. They played well defensively, but they were pretty much shooting out of their minds. The defense will remain. The shooting will come and go. It's obvious your attraction to the series had nothing to do with BOSTON, and everything to do with L.A. Your post has nothing in it about BOSTON. Your interest is not in BOSTON . ..."kobe"..."the lakers".... "l.a teams"...If Cali is so bad, then why is it the average house price is like 500k here versus 160k etc. in Pisscola?

Or, you know, to anyone who's been bludgeoned to death with Kobe media slurping and Jordan comparisons. Those people (just about everybody outside of Laker fans) might have taken some pleasure in seeing Kobe piss himself too.

Joey, it's mainly racism. They root for the lesser of 2 evils. One black guy had sex with a loose white chick, and (in their mind) got away with something(even though she bragged about being with him.) Pierce n' Garnet are just as unclassy as this guy is, but they didn't have the same well publicized extra-marrital sex with a loose white girl(who liked it enough to brag about it.)

Right.. I honestly don't give a **** what he does in his personal life. Even without that nonsense in Colorado, he's still a petulant prima donna. He's a scumbag with a great PR team (here Kobe: smile for the white people, don't use too much slang, put your kids on your lap, don't lick your lips too many times). KG, on the other hand, is the epitome of class, and unlike Kobe, he doesn't try to come off as the perfect human being.

I really like Garnett, he is probably my favorite player, since way back when I saw him in a pickup game about 3 miles from my house BUT last night he was acting kinda nuts when that chick was trying to interview him. he gets a pass because of how bad he wanted that championship, but he should just said "not right now" or something to that effect instead of going bonkers into the mic

Gets a pass? The hell did he do wrong? If he goes "not right now", people bash him for not doing the interview. I thought it was amazing, and proves my point about him not trying to come across as the perfect human being.

Maybe I just saw it wrong, it looked like he was acting thug and was swearing and all that stuff that people hate. I was halfway paying attention

You've got to be kid'n me about K.G. The guy uses more foul language on the court than anyone I have ever seen. Each time he is at the foul line the camera catches the guy doing it. I suppose what he did during the middle of the 4th quarter was classy huh? That's not the epitome of class. Duncan is a pretty classy player(if you need an example.) Some of the guys around him aren't classy, but he is.

Oh no, foul language! He should just clam up like Kobe and say "gee willikers" and all of that so he doesn't scare white people, huh?

Middle of the fourth quarter? Sorry, I must have missed that while trying to contain my fear that Kobe "wouldn't let the Lakers blah blah blah".. Your golden boy **** the bed, and instead of coming to grips with him being somewhere in between Vince Carter and Michael Jordan, you predictably deflect the discussion to a completely unrelated topic.

No, I said he choked in the series. It wouldn't of mattered, because Boston was shooting out of their mind. It would have forced a game 7 though. Kobe needed to make some shots in game 4, and choked. Didn't make open shots. He won't be compared to Jordan after this series. He can't be.

What playoff season did the Spurs make everything they put up? I must have missed it. Their best team 99, shot horribly and lost 2 playoff games the entire way.

You dont need to look anything up.
The Spurs dont win championships with offense.
It is part of the reason people do not like watching them.

Its always been defense. No need to go further.
You can find a game against Phoenix most likely where the shot a high
%, but who does not shoot a high % against Phoenix ever since Nash became their point...

You are mad at Bruce Bowen's superior defensive tactics.

I was talking about the way the no names can shoot out of their mind for Antonio. I've seen Malik Rose do it. Jackson do it. I saw Barry n' Bowen get hot together, and shoot some crazy % of 3 pointers up. That's what I mean. Like Posey was doing. WTF % of 3 pointers that guy make in the series? Parker shot what last year? Almost 60% in the finals. You're right, they don't all do it at the same time(like Celts did,) but they have games where certain guys can hardly miss. Together, Barry n' Bowen made 7 three pointers in one championship game last year. Every other year, they can shoot hot enough to get it done...... K that's it. We will see if Celts can shoot like this next year. If so, then they repeat.

Parker shot 60% and was in the top 10 in FG % because he shot layups. He got layups because he gets to the hole and finishes as well as any PG in the league.
Barry and Bowen. They are great 3 point shooters period. Bowen baseline exclusively, Barry from all over. They had a segment about Barry in Practice shooting 3's which the Spurs do an hour of and have contests after almost every practice.

Barry made 96 out of 100 threes in practice. While moving around the world.
It aint luck Scuds, its good. Very, very good 3 point shooters. Add Ginobili and Finely and you probably have a team that has as many good 3 point shooters as any in the league. This is by design.
Duncan patrols the paint.

These guys are really good players. Very good Functional players. But a little long of tooth unlike your Lakers.
In the end though, if the Spurs cant cover a team, its trouble. The Defensive rotation is what wins them games.
