Then it happened! The Indians selected Lonnie Chisenhall, shortstop from Pitt (NC) Community College, the 74th ranked player in the country...and did it with the 29th pick. Now, on the surface, Chisenhall is an intriguing prospect, good arm, good bat, some power. However, he isn't really a shortstop and probably won't hit enough to play third. He might be able to switch positions and play second base or left field but we don't know if could do either because he really hasn't.

Its so tough when you are drafting these kids, its nearly impossible to project them 4 years from the draft date. That being said I like the kid from Texas, Trey Haley.

Lonnie Chisenhall has a lot of talent. Maybe he can expedite Casey Blake's retirement. As for Heres Johnny, Im still waiting for him to get off the Mendoza Line and his cheeseburger diet. The goverment should look into how Heres Johnny is listed at 6'1 210. Hes not 6'1 and he hasnt seen 210 since 11th grade
