And my take from the Acorn was more a negative on Indian Blessing (and the other two fillies that didn't show up) than a positive on Zaftig.
Of course she'll run.

She didn't look dead on the turn to me. I bet her, and was watching the race with Mike Lakow, and said to him on the turn that she looked like she would win by the length of the stretch.

Music Note should fear Zaftig....not the other way around. As for Proud Spell, that's another question, but what better spot can you think of for Zaftig to take on the division leader than a one turn mile and an eighth at Belmont?

I agree that a 9F at Belmont is the optimal spot for Zaftig to take on the division leaders; I guess I just don't hold her in as high regard as some of the others on here.

Of the up-and-comers in the 3YO filly division, I tend to have a higher opinion of Acoma, the Empire Maker half-sister to Arch that won the Dogwood last weekend. While it would be a big step up in class (depending on who showed up), with her pedigree, I'd think the CCA Oaks or the Alabama would be the spot to which to point Acoma.

Acoma could easily come for the Mother Goose but more likely the CCA Oaks.

I liked her last week, and she's improving, but she has a ways to go and got a great set up in the Dogwood.
