I do it from more of a pace scenario. I use the A's as the ones that will most likely get the best trip, thus to me, the most likely winner. I use the B's as the best value or others that might benefit from the predicted trip and I use the C's as possible craziness, in that what if this horse gets lone speed or what happens if the only speed horse gets company up front.

I think it also really matters how the race draws. There are many races where there are 'only' two horses that have a chance at winning, thus is there really any B's and C's.

Something I learned from Andy when talking about this is that while their is always at least one A within a race, there are times where they are no B's or C's, or maybe a couple C's with 1 A, or 3 A's and 2 B's.

All it matters where you want to focus a majority of your money towards.
