Getting around Belmont weekend

So anyone think if I leave an hour before the Belmont that I'll have any problem getting to a hotel near Tarrytown in time to watch the race? I have to imagine the traffic leaving Belmont will be nonexistent but also don't want to miss the Belmont or miss the wedding of one of my good friends.

I told him that last year. I said it was a guarantee there would be a Triple Crown on the line. At least this is one Triple Crown I don't want to see.

I don't believe Belmont allows people to bring their own beer into the track anymore, so you certainly shouldn't see the same antics that have become altogether too common at the Preakness. Did anybody see kids actually lobbing full cans of beer in grenade-like fashion at the infield last Saturday?

give it more than that - the bridges and cross island can still back up on saturday afternoon

on a clean day in the early am when i go down to watch the workouts it takes me 20 -25 minutes to get there - i am 20 minutes below tarrytown
