Really like Winyah as an exacta horse in this race. Has some proven turf form and a rerun of his FG race should have him in the hunt. Should help pump up the price as he will be overlooked. Plenty of pace in here to push A.P. Excellent and not convinced that first turfers Wicked Style and Dominican will both run wild. Will have to cover with Bullara also but still believe there is a dollar to be made.

No one should write off Wicked Style because of that run. Why they put the horse on grass, I haven't the faintest..

Default Oops..........

Should have noticed that Bridgmohan stuck with Faith's Magic rather than Winyah. Couldn't believe Winyah was on the pace and appeared quite rank in doing so. Winyah might be a bet back with different tactics next time out.

They were probably expecting the other speed to BREAK DOWN, as was the case is his last race. Can only get lucky once, I guess.

to be honest the race was below expectations. We didn't get the big pace duel. Who cares what bobby fischer did Hooves? What about the race? I talk about the race, I get criticised for not having a "pick", then I offer live wagers and turn a profit, even with the race going topsy-turfy.

do you want some reaction? I don't get it. Lets talk about the races.

I still think A.P. Excellent is weak. He had things his own way and could only manage 2nd. I don't know that there was a lot to bet back in this race.

Be careful about using that kind of statement on here. It's apparently frowned upon to have your own expectation and to be disappointed when they aren't reached.

Brilliant. You still don't see where you contradicted yourself.

You said Magnificience did not run a disappointing race. In the very same sentence, you said she failed to meet your expectations with her race.

If the definition of disappoint = failure to meet expectations of someone (you), then that sentence is a contradiction.

Needless nitpicking? Yes. But when you're trying to give everyone else on the thread the high-hat, you ought to check your wording carefully lest you look foolish.

One of those two horses was 73-1, and I don't know what Winyah's excuse was, but it's not as if Faith's Magic came from the clouds to win. I'd say the pace was average.

I agree with what you are saying. I'll conceed that he was wider than you want to be going into the first turn.
Wait On Tate didn't really affect the race IMO. Maybe a Winyah fan could argue he hampered that one a little. Maybe. Winyah was dueling with Tate, but I'm not sure Winyah was ever making a big winning threat on the front.

A.P. kind of loped along and by the time he got to even terms, WateTate was finished. Winyah was finished.

At that point in the race A.P. had the jump on everyone, and no one even challenged other than Faith's Magic.

It wasn't a terrible race from AP(no one else really ran much better) but I feel like if the class goes up or if he faces pace pressure from an actual win candidate he could be exposed.
