His Champagne wasn't much. He went 1/5th slower than Society Selection did in the Frizette with Ganpath up.
SS came into that Frizette off of only a 5 furlong debut win at Saratoga. Birdstone had a great debut - but never did much to impress me after that. I think he was something like 38/1 in the Belmont Stakes where he was the only thing moving late.
