I have thought that the officiating has been awful for most of the playoffs, but that no goal call was the icing on the cake last night. The Stars got a reprieve last night.

I think the NHL is better than ever. Goons are down a bit but top to bottom the game is far more physical; far bigger players and equipment.

If you want some hockey action next week (assuming Pitt and Detroit clinch), try the Memorial Cup, a tourney with the winners of the WHL, QMHL and OHL (Major Junior Leagues champs) plus the Host team, Kitchener. Kitchener, Gatineau, Spokane and Belleville. Starts Fri the 17th. Round robin format, ends next weekend. The Kitchener-Belleville and Bellville-Gat games will be great games and not unlikely to be slugfests. Games s/b on VS Network.
