No. I just don't see any reason to not put a jockey on the horse that will be riding him in the Belmont. It is foolish. Pick a jockey for the Belmont and put him on the horse for the Peter Pan.

He won't run poorly. It probably will be a 6-7 horse field and 3 or 4 of them won't be able to run 12f. Casino Drive obviously has the pedigree to go 12f. He will hit the board and be a serious threat to win if BB doesn't show up or can't run the distance, which seems unlikely. Although 12f is a long way to go with bad feet, especially when it is the 3rd race in 5 weeks.

How come my Kent on Cool Coal Man in the Blue Grass has been ignored?

Oh, I know why, because it completely exposes how stupid this thread is.

Not ignored. More like "put on hold". It's a good idea to deal with only controversial or conspiracy topic at a time. LOL.

Not a bad move by KD to get on his potential competition. The idea that he will get off BB for casino drive in the belmont, is insane.

Exactly. Know thy enemy. Don't expect him to 'leave anything in the tank', although that's a rather overused and overhyped cliche anyway.

Isn't it at least possible that Kent D and Casino Drive's connections are BOTH just trying to win the Peter Pan, and that nobody other than crazy message board types are thinking about the specific ramifications that this 1 minute and 48 seconds will have on how a race four weeks away will be run?

Yeah, not to mention that you give yourself the best chance to do well in the Peter Pan and then put yourself in the best position to get the best jockeys available for the Belmont.

So Yamamoto has been pointing this horse to the Belmont since his easy maiden win back in Feb. 1 1/8 mile maiden debut win Since the PP has been the local prep race for the Belmont, he chooses the Jock who just won the No.1 Race in America.

Yea, those Japanese are real stupid people.

cruised 5fl yesterday 59.95.

If he loses to this bunch, he should pack it up and head home.

Exactly.

He will, most likely, lose to this bunch.

Ohhh a five furlong work in 59.95.

Half the field will scratch out of respect for that blazing work.

Other than Lieutenant Ron, and maybe Shug's horse, this is not a good field.

If the son of Mineshaft has any guts, he should love the Big Sandy.

Maybe the Japanese are shopping, and boosting our economy with their YEN.

Lieutenant Ron may be VERY good.

Regardless, horses like this have a much better record of being phonies than not. Plus, from a betting standpoint, anytime a horse is bet strongly because of talk, and not performance, you are much better off playing against it.

Agreed. Odds are in the favor of the better this race.

Yamamoto may be the Dutrow of Japan.

Are Japanese betting pools part of the NYRA handle? Casino Drive will be 1-20 if that's the case. Remember Deep Impact's odds in the Arc last year? LOL.

The irony of all this is that Kent D. has to be some sort of laughing stock in Japan via his misjudge of the finish line aboard Kotashaan in the '93 Japan Cup.

Maybe they think lightning can't strike twice.
