I agree with the strangeness of people getting upset
over showing the horse. She had already been euthanized
by the time I saw it. And it is a part of this game that
should actually be shown because it happens. It is real.

But your some of your examples above are God-awful.

People willingly get into cars and into hockey.
They know whats coming.
Predator/prey... give me a flippn break.
Watch that track come up and eat the horse?

Maybe people being blown up randomly by suicide
bombers would be more appropriate.

Horses dont have much of a choice.
Horses dont formally request to skip a
run in the slop or on pavement.

That being said change the channel if you
dont like it. I dont watch local news because
of the car wrecks and bar shootings. If you choose
to watch a horse race, you know what can and does
happen.

Because it was said with tongue firmly imbedded into cheek. You couldn't sense that just a little bit. And yes, believe it or not there are some people who get frigged up over the predator/prey stuff.
