Yeah, but symbolically, it's a ballsy move. He said post position wouldn't matter, so he takes what many believe to be the most difficult post.

Why not take the 2 with the complete lack of early speed from the horses in 3 and 4?

I agree with that statement, he has such a big long stride and bad feet, you'd hate to get stepped on or blocked in the early going, but damn 20 is wide...

Especially when the inside was available. You know the three horses immediately to his left are going to gun, why even take the chance?

it seems like it may hint at speed.

the 2 post is more of a sit - in - the pocket position.

20= If he just goes out with natural speed maybe 4 or 5 wide is his best hope? Maybe they will try and go just like in the FlaDerby?
